Resumes Around the Web
Below
is a compiled list of sample resumes and resume examples from around the web in many different
job categories. Included is a mixture of all three of the above types of
resumes. We will add more as we find them.
Editors Tip
Before you write
your resume, try the following tip. Think back through your years of work and
study history and think of those moments in your career that gave you the
most pride - no matter whether you were rewarded or they were appreciated
by anyone else or not. Compile a list of twenty (yes there at least twenty!),
one or two sentence "success yarns" in your career. Under each of these
yarns, write down what you achieved and what skills this demonstrated you
had. Let these moments of pride and achievement, no matter how small or
unrewarded, guide the rest of your resume development.

Types of Resumes
Broadly,
there are three different types of resumes
1. Chronological
A chronological resume highlights the experience and achievement in the
applicant's field. It lists company names, job titles, periods of employment,
responsibilities, achievements and promotions across the applicant's job
history in reverse chronological order. It seems to be most preferred by
employers and is generally considered the easiest to write.
2.
Functional
A functional resume focuses on skills and accomplishments, highlighting
those rather than your work experience. Headings are built around skills
and achievements, with job details of past employment listed in a separate
employment history section.
3.
Combination
The combination resume incorporates elements of the above two. Experiences
are grouped by functional areas, listed in reverse chronological order within
each section along with those job details listed in a chronological resume.
